Ori Danino was born and raised in Ramot, Jerusalem. Ori is an intelligent, ambitious, and funny young man. He captivates everyone around him with his generosity and charm. Ori always sees others before anything else. He was supposed to start studying for his bachelor's degree and move in with his fiancee, his beloved Li'el. Ori is a fan of Beitar Jerusalem football club and even a bigger fan of black coffee (the darker, the better). He loves music, loves to laugh and appreciates a great party.

 

Ori was dancing with his friends at the Nova music festival near Re'im on October 7 when Hamas terrorists launched a murderous attack. He managed to leave the festival area, while packing his car with people trying to escape. Ori did not drive home, he just couldn't leave his newly found friends, siblings Itay (18) and Maya Regev (21) and their mutual friend Omer Shem Tov (21) there, at the bloodbath. Ori came back for them, but then he was caught. Ori was kidnapped to Gaza together with Omer, Maya and Itay.

In early September 2024, Ori's body was found by the IDF, along with the bodies of 5 other hostages. They had been murdered the day before their disovery. Siblings Maya and Itay Regev were released from Hamas captivity as part of a temporary cease-fire agreement in late November 2024.​
