Eden Yerushalmi from Tel Aviv, was full of life and brought positive energy everywhere she went. Her apartment was always filled with friends and music. Eden was a pilates instructor, and she is very active and in great shape. She rode a scooter, loved going to the beach, listening to music, and cooking. Eden was a person who always wore a smile on her face, and was dearly loved by her family and friends.

Eden worked as a bartender in the Nova music festival near Kibbutz Re'im. On the early morning hours of Saturday the 7th of October she called her family, screaming over the noise of terrorists' gunfire. Eden recounted her harrowing escape from the massacre and the devastating sight of her friends in the car bleeding out, lifeless.

Both she and her sisters, Shani and May, anxiously connected over the phone, shared this distress for 3.5 hours. During the call, they helplessly listened as Eden was found and abducted by Hamas terrorists. "Shani, they've caught me' Eden said before the call was disconnected.Beautiful Eden spent her 24th birthday in captivity, in the underground tunnels of Hamas in Gaza.

Sadly, in early September, 2024 Eden was one of six bodies that the Israeli military recovered from Gaza. They had all been murdered the day before their discovery. Her family released a statement saying “Our Eden, we love you, too, and we miss you like crazy. You are forever in our hearts.”
